Finishing Options

3Dproparts has a wide range of finishing capabilities in-house. Get your parts in your desired finish faster and reduce your time and cost. Our extensive expertise and in-house finishing services provide you with a one stop shop for all your prototype and production requirements.

Painting

3Dproparts offers a comprehensive range of painting finishes for your  SLA, SLS, Urethane-, Aluminum-, and Zinc Castings parts. Various ttextured finishes are available on painted parts. We also offer clear coat finishes using automotive clear coat. Color matching is available for all painted parts and cast urethane parts. We require a PMS number or a customer sample. (All colors matched on a best case basis.)

Texturing

We offer molded in texture on urethane castings.  We generally reference Mold Tech Numbers for texture finishes, however all texture finishes are applied on a best case basis. Texture is applied castings using the following post process finishes:

  • Glass bead finish is used for SLA and Aluminum parts
  • Steel shot blast finish (heavy and light) and vibratory finish are 3Dproparts metal finish options.

Inserts

3Dproparts applies inserts to SLA and SLS Models, Urethane Castings (molded in or post cast), aluminum and zinc castings and CNC machined parts. All insert services are offered through in-house capabilities.

Engraving

We offer custom engraving for all metal parts.

Impregnation

Our in-house impregnation for metal castings and SLS Models uses a vacuum impregnation method. Impregnation provides improved water resistance or air tightness of your parts.

Heat-treat (temperature post treating)

3Dproparts offers heat treating services for aluminum castings to provide ready to use castings with improved performance.

Shielding

EMI Shielding is available for SLA and SLS parts, Urethane using the RP Tempering process.

Assembly

If you are looking to reduce your processing time or need expert assistance with assembly, 3Dproparts offers  of a wide rang assembly services for all its parts.
